𝗗𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝘃𝗹𝗲𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗱 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮
Het is bijna zo ver! Na twee afgelaste edities kunnen we er eindelijk weer voor gaan, wellicht zelfs zonder beperkingen als code geel blijft aanhouden. Het aantal inschrijvingen overtrof onze verwachtingen. De kwaliteit van de voorstellingen is buitengewoon hoog. Alle deelnemende groepen van De Gevleugelde Stad 2022 vind je terug op deze website.
Een nieuwe editie…nieuwe locaties! Dit jaar trekken we voor het eerst weg uit het centrum door de restauratiewerken aan de Lakenhallen en heraanleg Astridpark. In plaats hiervan voegen we extra speelplaatsen toe op de wondermooie Ieperse Vestingen èn nemen we voor het eerst onze intrek op het Ieperse Jeugdstadion & de schoolgebouwen van Sint Vincentius College. Een nieuwe editie…een nieuw campagnebeeld! In 2019 nam Paul Vanhaute een prachtige foto van Bucraá Circus. Een wat triestige foto? Wij waren vooral bekoord door de uitgestraalde emoties, door de tederheid… het zorgen voor elkaar. We willen meer dan ooit het festival zijn dat zorgt voor de straatartiesten en iedereen kan hier van gratis meegenieten: drie dagen lang, drie dagen vol verwondering en verrassing.
Een nieuwe editie…mooi weer? We duimen voor een stralende zon…maar als de weergoden ons echt niet goed gezind zijn gaan alle optredens door overdekt. Geen reden dus om niet te komen!

It’s almost time! After two cancelled editions, we can finally go for it again, perhaps even without restrictions if code yellow continues. The number of registrations exceeded our expectations. The quality of the performances is exceptionally high. All participating groups of The City of Wings 2022 can be found on this website.
A new edition…new locations! This year, for the first time, we are moving away from the center due to restoration works on the Cloth Hall and the redevelopment of Astridpark. Instead, we are adding extra playgrounds on the beautiful Ypres ramparts and we are moving to Jeugdstadion & the school buildings of Sint-Vincentius College for the first time. Curious? A new edition… a new campaign image! In 2019 Paul Vanhaute took a beautiful photo of Bucraá Circus. A sad picture? We were especially charmed by the radiated emotions, by the tenderness… taking care of each other. More than ever we want to be the festival that takes care of street artists and everyone can enjoy this for free: a whole three days full of wonder and surprise.
A new edition… nice weather? We keep our fingers crossed for a radiant sun… but if the weather gods are really not in our favour, all performances will be played inside or in a tent. So no reason not to come!

Il est presque temps ! Après deux éditions annulées, nous pouvons enfin recommencer. Et si le code reste jaune, peut-être même sans restrictions. Le nombre d’inscriptions a largement dépassé nos attentes. La qualité des spectacles est exceptionnellement élevée. Une nouvelle édition… des nouveaux lieux de spectacles! En raison des travaux, nous nous éloignons pour la première fois du centre-ville. A la place, nous ajoutons des terrains de jeux supplémentaires sur les magnifiques Remparts d’Ypres. Nous utilisons aussi pour la première fois le Jeugdstadion d’Ypres et les bâtiments scolaires du Collège Sint Vincentius. En savoir plus? Avec une nouvelle édition vient une nouvelle image de campagne! En 2019, Paul Vanhaute a pris une magnifique photo de ‘Bucraá Circus’. Une photo un peu triste? Nous étions surtout charmés par les émotions visibles, par la tendresse… prendre soin l’un de l’autre. Plus que jamais, nous voulons être le festival qui prend soin des artistes. Et le public peut en profiter gratuitement : trois jours pleins d’émerveillement et de surprise.
Une nouvelle édition… du beau temps? On croise les doigts pour trois journées plein de soleil…. Mais si les dieux de la météo ne nous aiment pas, toutes les spectacles seront joué à l’ intérieur. Donc aucune raison de ne pas venir!
